1. Who we are

The MarketSnare Website Integrator (the “App”) is developed and operated by Cirrus ABS Corporation, doing business as MarketSnare (“MarketSnare”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

  • Legal entity: Cirrus ABS Corporation (d/b/a MarketSnare)
  • Postal address: 3201 Stellhorn Rd, Ste C149, Fort Wayne, IN 46815, United States
  • Email: support@marketsnare.com
  • Telephone: 260-420-2222 or 855-762-7387

The App connects a MarketSnare-powered website to a merchant’s Shopify store and publishes content, blog posts, products, and product collections from MarketSnare into that store. This policy covers the App only. Your broader relationship with MarketSnare, including your MarketSnare website and account, is governed by your MarketSnare agreement and the policies that apply to it.

2. Our role

The App is a publishing tool that acts on your instructions:

  • Your store data remains yours. Anything the App reads from or writes to your Shopify store is handled on your instruction, according to the sync settings you configure. You decide what is published.
  • We are responsible for our operational records. We manage the technical logs the App generates and any correspondence you send to our support team.

3. Protected customer data

The Website Integrator does not request or use protected customer data.

Shopify designates buyer personal information — such as customer, order, and checkout data — as protected customer data and requires apps to apply for special access to it. The App does not request that access and has no access to your customers’ personal information.

We never sell, rent, or share store data for advertising, profiling, or resale, and we do not use your store’s content or catalog data to train machine learning or AI models.

4. Shopify access scopes

When you install the App, Shopify asks you to authorize a specific set of permissions. The table below lists each permission the App requests, what it gives access to, and why it is needed. In Shopify’s permission model, each write scope includes the corresponding read access, so paired permissions appear as a single row.

ScopeWhat it accessesWhy the App needs it
write_products Products, variants, images, and product collections. To publish and keep up to date the products and collections you manage in MarketSnare, and to match existing records so updates do not create duplicates.
write_content Blogs and blog articles, including their SEO metadata. To publish blog posts authored in MarketSnare.
write_online_store_pages Online store pages. To publish marketing pages and localized content pages from MarketSnare.
write_online_store_navigation Online store menus and navigation links. To add or update navigation so synced pages and collections are reachable from your storefront.
write_files The store’s file and media library. To upload the images and media referenced by synced content and products.
write_metaobjects / write_metaobject_definitions Structured content entries and the definitions that describe them. To create the structured content the App uses to render MarketSnare content consistently in your storefront.
write_themes / write_theme_code Theme templates, sections, and asset files. To install and update the templates and sections required to display synced content correctly in your theme. Not used to read or modify unrelated theme code.
write_legal_policies The store’s policy pages (privacy, terms, refund, and similar). To publish and keep current policy pages that are managed centrally in MarketSnare.
write_marketing_events / read_marketing_integrated_campaigns Marketing event and campaign records. To record and report marketing activity associated with synced content so campaign performance is attributed correctly in MarketSnare.
read_analytics / read_reports Aggregated store analytics and reports. To display the performance of your store and synced content within MarketSnare. This information is aggregate and does not identify individual shoppers.
read_channels The store’s installed sales channels. To determine which channels synced products and collections can be published to.

If a future release of the App requires an additional permission, Shopify will prompt you to review and approve the change before it takes effect, and we will update this policy.

5. Data the App handles

5.1 Content and catalog data

The content the App exists to move: page and blog content, article metadata and SEO fields, product titles, descriptions, images, SKUs, barcodes, prices, variants, tags, and collection structures. This is business content, not personal data, and it flows primarily from MarketSnare into your store.

5.2 Sync settings and logs

The sync options you configure (for example which content types sync and to which destination), records of what was published and when, and error records. We use these to operate the sync and troubleshoot problems.

5.3 Aggregated analytics and reports

Aggregate analytics and report data read from your store solely to present performance information within MarketSnare. This data describes your store’s overall performance and does not identify individual shoppers.

5.4 Support correspondence

Emails, tickets, and any screenshots or files you send us when requesting help, together with our replies.

The App does not collect account, profile, or contact information about you or your online store.

6. How we use data

  • Providing the service. Reading existing records and creating or updating content, products, and collections in your store according to your sync settings.
  • Maintaining the connection. Detecting changes in MarketSnare and applying them to your store, retrying failed jobs, and reconciling records.
  • Performance reporting. Presenting aggregate analytics and report data within MarketSnare.
  • Support and troubleshooting. Investigating sync errors, answering your questions, and reproducing reported problems.
  • Service improvement. Analyzing aggregated and de-identified usage and error patterns to improve reliability and performance.
  • Security and abuse prevention. Detecting and investigating unauthorized access, fraud, and violations of our terms.
  • Legal compliance. Meeting our obligations under applicable law, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing our agreements.

We do not use data obtained through the App for advertising or unsolicited marketing.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, plus any period required by law.

DataRetention
Data associated with your storeDeleted within 30 days of uninstall
Sync logs and job recordsRetained up to 90 days for troubleshooting, then deleted
Support correspondenceRetained up to 24 months
Records required for tax, accounting, or legal purposesRetained for the period required by applicable law

Uninstalling the App ends its access to your store and stops all sync activity.

Content already published to your store stays yours

Products, collections, pages, and blog posts that the App has already published live in your Shopify store and are under your control. Uninstalling the App stops future syncing but does not delete that content. If you want it removed, delete it in your Shopify admin, or contact us and we will help.

You may request earlier deletion at any time by emailing support@marketsnare.com; we will action verified requests within 30 days.

8. Security

We apply technical measures appropriate to the data we handle, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit between the App, Shopify, and MarketSnare
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Requesting only the permissions listed in this policy, with no access to protected customer data
  • Logging and monitoring of sync errors and anomalous activity

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, such as support correspondence. To exercise a right, email support@marketsnare.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request, and you will not be treated differently for making one.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is a business tool intended for merchants and their staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is material, such as a new Shopify permission or a new category of data handled, we will provide notice through the MarketSnare platform before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the App after a change becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
